China To Help Pakistan For Space Visit In 2022

China has a plan to launch a manned space station by the year 2022. It is named as Tiangong. China is trying to help other nations get into space. Pakistan is one of the countries who will be benefited with this Chinese aid. Pakistan plans to send its first astronaut in space with Chinese assistance.

This plan has been approved in the month of October of 2018 by Prime Minister Imran Khan and his ministry. An initial deal on this has been signed between SUPARCO (Pakistan Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission) and a company from China. The contract was made in 2018. After the inauguration of the China Space Day, Amer Nadeem, who is chairing SUPARCO, informed that the agreement might be signed in coming weeks. Based on the same, the agency will start candidate selection. The selected candidates will visit China for some part of the training.

In the early months of 2018, Pakistan launched 2 indigenous satellites into orbit; a Chinese launch vehicle helped in this mission. Besides Pakistan, other countries can seek from China regarding space missions. After the International Space Station retires in 2024, China will be the only economy with a manned space station. In May 2018 China announced that its laboratory is open to all the countries who want to perform scientific experiments. Simonetta Di Pippo, who is directing the UNOOSA or the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs, confirmed that China is determined to improve global partnership when it comes to space missions. So any country who is a member of United Nations can use the Chinese space station. The station can assist with researches in space life science, microgravity fundamental physics, space materials science, astronomy and biotechnology. According to Pippo, they have already received 40 proposals in this regards even before the submission deadline was over.
