Rihanna Joins Hands With Topnotch Luxury Group For Fenty

LVMH is undoubtedly one of the biggest French-based luxury goods brand in the world and it is ready to make its entry into the market of shoes, clothing, and accessories with the star from Barbados and the hitmaker of ‘Umbrella’, Rihanna as their brand ambassador. The venture is going to the latest addition to the string of luxury brands already prevalent in the market like Louis Vuitton and Chandon and Moet champagne and is slated to be called Fenty, inspired from the full name of Rihanna itself that goes as Robyn Rihanna Fenty. The launch is supposed to happen in the spring of 2019 itself, according to the spokesperson of LVMH.

The setting up of a brand from scratch is something new for the Paris giants and is going to be a continuation of the cosmetic brand that was launched along with Rihanna in 2017 called Fenty Beauty, the products of which flew off the shelves in no time and has already made a business of 500 million euros as of 2018. Her association with the brand is befitting as she has been known for her bold fashion sense which is reflected in her style of music as well. This is not the first time that the star has had a tie-up with a big company though, as she has already collaborated with the shoe brand Manolo Blahnik and Savage X Fenty, a lingerie brand.

The popularity of Rihanna can be judged by the fact that her Instagram handle, badgalriri has close to 70.5 million followers, especially when she received a boost from her associated with LVMH and their extensive advertising program. According to the boss of LVMH who also owns couture brands like Givenchy and Christian Dior, the brand will provide all the necessary accessories to Rihanna to build a fashion house that will have no limits artistically and it will add to the portfolio of the star as well. No financial details were revealed though.
